Finally got a chance to listen to the CD I bought in Amoeba, probably the best record shop I’ve ever been to, on our trip to LA last week. For fans of psych-folk, they recommended a group called The Holy Modal Rounders, alongside some artists I knew such as Pentagram and Robbie Basho (thanks Gwil for the latter one). The album is pretty leftfield, and definitely not for the fainthearted. Here’s a track from it - ‘Uncle Joe’.
